The Georgetown Eagle Band
Eagle Marching Band
This is the premiere ensemble for each Fall semester. Students participate as a whole program to perform and compete at football games and marching contests. Students earn athletic credit for participating in marching band.
Wind Symphony
The top concert band of GHS, this award winning ensemble performs at concerts at the end of the Fall semesters and throughout the Spring semesters. Students in this ensemble are highly encouraged to participate in private lessons.
Wind Ensemble
The second concert band of GHS, this ensemble has a record of success and allows students to grow as musicians at many levels. This ensemble performs at concerts at the end of the Fall semesters and throughout the Spring semesters.
Symphonic Band
The third concert band of GHS, this ensemble has the greatest record of growth of all ensembles. Gaining a focused and patience-driven experience, this ensemble performs at concerts at the end of the Fall semesters and throughout the Spring semesters.
Color Guard
A Winterguard International Finalist and Texas Colorguard Circuit award winner, the colorguard at GHS is a welcoming and artistic part of the program. Students do not need any prior experience to join, and all students can find a meaningful place in the guard. The colorguard performs at football games and competes as two winterguard units in the Spring semesters.
Jazz Band
The jazz band is an award-winning ensemble at GHS that allows students to explore improvisation, exciting music, and the history of America’s music. Students in this ensemble enjoy traveling during the Spring semesters to various festivals to perform along with showcasing for the GHS community. Students may audition for this ensemble at the end of the Spring semesters.
