Logan Stone is a junior music education major from Belton, TX. Since 2018, Logan has been teaching and consulting marching band all throughout the Central Texas area, and was also recognized as the “Visual member of the year” during his rookie year of DCI at Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps. With a focus on trumpet, his drum corps experience includes Guardians, Blue Knights, and the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps.
Hope Morriss is a senior music education major at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She grew up in Flower Mound where she started playing trumpet in fourth grade at Coram Deo Academy. After attending multiple All-State’s she knew she wanted to keep playing and pursue music in college. At UMHB, Hope participates in Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Spirit Band, and Brass Ensemble. She has found a special interest in conducting, and upon graduating plans to teach middle or high-school band, then pursue a Masters and eventually a DMA in wind band conducting while still teaching private trumpet lessons. In her free time, Hope pursues her love of photography by taking wedding and portrait photos, visits local coffee shops in Dallas, listens to vinyls, and watches New Girl on Netflix.
Jonathan Pereira is an Georgetown, Texas-based percussionist and educator. As a classically trained percussionist, he feels equally at home performing classical, jazz, or popular music. Mr. Pereira holds degrees in music education and percussion performance from Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY (BM 2013, MM 2016). He spent several years teaching instrumental music in New York State public schools and private percussion lessons before relocating to Austin in 2018. He has extensive performance experience in wind ensembles, orchestras, and pit orchestras for musical theatre productions, and currently performs with FlecHaus, an indie folk band based in Austin.
